The short version

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It has no forms and no login. We measure how often pages are opened, using a tool that works without cookies and without tracking individuals — which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.

Server log data

When you open this page, our hosting provider automatically records the technical information needed to deliver it: your IP address, the time of the request, the file requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system version. This data is used solely to operate and secure the site. It is not combined with other sources and is not used to identify you.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable provision of this website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is kept only for as long as it is needed for that purpose and is deleted thereafter.

Hosting is provided by Fly.io (Fly.io, Inc.) on servers located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Reach measurement

We use Fathom Analytics (Conva Ventures Inc.) to see how often the pages of this site are opened. Fathom is designed to work without cookies: it stores nothing on your device and reads nothing from it. No profile is created, no data is shared with advertising networks, and you are not recognised across websites or across visits.

To count a page view, your IP address is transmitted and used only to derive a non-reversible value, and is not stored. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required; the processing rests on our legitimate interest in understanding whether this site is being read at all (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fathom is operated by Conva Ventures Inc. in Canada. The European Commission has determined that Canada provides an adequate level of protection for personal data transferred to recipients subject to PIPEDA (Decision 2002/2/EC), so the transfer requires no additional safeguards.

You can object to this processing at any time by writing to hello@olienergies.com, or by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser, which Fathom respects.

Fonts and other resources

All fonts, styles and images are served from this website’s own server. No requests are made to font providers or content delivery networks, so no data about your visit reaches them.

Contacting us by email

If you write to the address on this site, we process the content of your message and your contact details in order to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We keep such correspondence for as long as it is needed to deal with your enquiry and to meet any retention obligations that apply to us.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR you have the right to request access to your personal data (Art. 15), and to have it corrected (Art. 16), erased (Art. 17) or restricted (Art. 18); the right to data portability (Art. 20); and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for our registered office is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach).
